Our New Membership Model
As of January 2025, Rockville Musical Theatre no longer charges a fee to be a member of our organization. Now, anyone who volunteers 10 hours or more in a season automatically becomes an RMT member.

Why we made the change:

Membership fees created a barrier to participation.

Fees primarily offset complimentary tickets

Membership was mostly made up of board members and actors, meaning our voting membership did not reflect our full volunteer base.
This new model ensures that our membership is truly representative of the people who make RMT possible.

Exclusive invitations to attend member events throughout the year.

Eligibility to run for a board position to further shape the direction of RMT

Voting rights in RMT elections and major organizational decisions.
