Lights and Sound
Lighting was well designed with colors adding to the action and beauty of the set. There were several excellent effects, such as the red sky in Act II, the starlight planetarium effect and Zoltan’s booth. The lighting designer closely coordinated with the set design as evidenced by the nicely flashing lights on the Toy Store set.

The sound effects were also handled well such as the crying baby and Zoltan’s voice. However, there were the occasional problems with body mikes being unbalanced causing some dialogue to be lost.
Stage Management
The show was generally well managed with the shows starting on time and the scene changes well handled. There were no problems noted with light or sound cues. It was a good idea to use actors to assist in scene changes, however, their white shirts drew the audience’s eyes even in blackout. Perhaps dark pullovers could have been used for some of them if they were not to be in the opening of the next scenes.

Front of House
The front of house staff was courteous and efficient with the tickets well handled. The refreshments were very nice. The program was nicely done with amusing Director’s notes. Although it is not any sort of requirement of any production, it is always nice to see a lobby display of cast photographs.
